This is Nakatsuka's classic "Spoon Spatula".
It’s an especially handy spatula for stir-frying in small pots or frying pans. At the shop owner’s home, it’s often used to cook small stir-fried or simmered side dishes. The more you use it, the more its color deepens with age.
From the Artisan
This is a lightweight, easy-to-handle spatula with a spoon-shaped tip that gently fits the bottoms of frying pans and deep jars.
It can be used directly for stir-fried dishes like fried rice or for simmered foods, as well as for mixing flour and preparing fillings for dumplings or meatballs.
In addition, the small tip prevents ingredients from losing their shape and makes it easy to serve.
This wooden spatula has many repeat customers and is definitely one you should try.
