From the Owner

Wooden tableware is part of our everyday dining. Many of the pieces were crafted by local woodworkers who are my friends, and I have been using them for about 10 years.

These artisans are brimming with individuality and simply cannot resist the urge to create something from wood. The more you use their handcrafted pieces, the more attached you become to them, and the richer your daily life feels. The feel of the wooden tableware as you wash it, the gloss of its wet surface, its lightness, and the soft sound when you stack them... This store serves as a bridge between the artisans and this rich, fulfilling experience.

Wood has its own character—it warps, it can crack, and it is prone to staining. My friends, the artisans, carefully observe the wood and strive to avoid these issues when possible, sometimes deliberately embracing them, and occasionally even making use of them. There is no right answer; what they create and how they create it varies depending on what they focus on. In this way, the natural character of the wood merges with the unique personality and individuality of the artisan. We hope those who appreciate such craftsmanship will enjoy the products we offer.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to convey the true texture of wooden pieces through photographs. Ideally, I would like you to hold each piece in your hands and feel its quality, but for now, we will proceed with online sales.

(That said, despite all of this, I also love ceramics, glass, and ironware.)
