This is the classic "soup" model from miyazono spoon.
The owner, who drinks soup directly from the bowl, uses this spoon not for soup but for eating hiyayakko (chilled tofu). It is perfect for scooping up large portions of soft, crumbly foods like silken tofu.
There are two types of shapes. Please check the pictures below.

From the Artisan
The smooth feel of urushi on your mouth. The warmth of the wood on the handle. A soup spoon that allows you to enjoy the aging process of both urushi and wood. Recommended for use with deep bowls or mugs.
Product Specifications
- Artisan: Natsumi Miyazono
- Wood species: Kaede (Japanese Hard Maple), Yamazakura (Japanese Mountain Cherry), Tochi (Japanese Horse Chestnut), Keyaki (Japanese Zelkova) , Hinoki (Japanese Cypress, from Mount Rokko)
- Finish: The dark brown areas in the photo are finished with urushi (Japanese lacquer), the rest are finished with oil (walnut)
- Length: Approx. 157mm
Care Instructions
Depending on the wood species, the oil-finished part may become fuzzy. If this occurs, please refer to " Examples of the Aging Process and Maintenance of Wooden Tableware (Oil Finish) " for how to care for it.
