This is a smaller version of Kuksa-style cup. It holds about 90 to 100 ml—roughly the size of a demitasse cup.
This finely crafted piece is typical of Mori’s woodworking—meticulous and full of care.
The rounded body gives it a charming appearance, while the handle—shaped with beautifully curved lines and defined edges—offers a perfect example of functional beauty. Each piece features stunning wood grain that makes you want to hold and admire it from every angle.

In the Finnish region of Lapland—where the kuksa originated—cups are traditionally made from birch burl. These cups, however, are crafted from domestic Makaba (Japanese Birch), using non-burl sections of the wood (with some burl areas included).
To enhance the quality and durability of the Makaba, each piece goes through a long finishing process: the wood is first stabilized, then treated with oil, and finally finished with a glass painting.
