This is a classic plate by Takasu (Manjiro Furniture).
Although the design is decorative, the glass paint finish on the chestnut doesn’t give it a wet appearance, and its rough texture creates a rustic, warm, and approachable feel.

One of the plates contains a bark inclusion that goes all the way through the wood. Because there is a possibility that liquid could seep through this point during use, we have listed this item separately. (In our tests, no leakage occurred, but due to potential wood shrinkage over time, seepage could become possible.) Please refer to the photos for confirmation. ※ A bark inclusion is a natural feature that occurs when, due to a disruption in the tree’s growth, a portion stops growing and the outer bark becomes enclosed within the wood.
